Ceramics started as a post-covid therapy and I quickly discovered I loved the process and felt a natural affinity with clay and the making process.

It felt like a natural transition from working full-time in the coffee industry to making products that are so intrinsically linked with coffee, hospitality and appreciating everyday moments.

My grandmother, Hella, wrote a book of meditations. The favourite line for our family was “Let us Sometimes Turn Ordinary Moments into Grand Occasions". I keep a photo of her in the studio as a daily reminder.

My wish is for HANA products to be used and loved daily, at home and at your favourite venues. Sharing the joy and the pieces with everyone is part of the essence of HANA.
